Pretty self explanatory. Really glad Sega are doing this. Even though the last two Yakuza games bombed in the West they were excellent games and it's good to see Sega take a chance and also good to see another decent PS3 exclusive.

Hope it's better than the first one, I never got all the hype around as it seemed to be little more that a dumbed down Shenmue.

That leaked Sega/Sony document supports this as well, although they mention the possibility of an 'Japanese Import' section of the PSN - whereby titles "might need to localize menus at least with subtitles". I am more than happy to play Yakuza 2 in Japanese with English subs, so this suits me a lot.

I like when companies realise that I'm willing to give them my money and they figure out good ways to get it from me.

I haven't played Shenmue, but I certainly love the Yakuza games. At least with the rumours of Dreamcast games coming to PSN as well I can play Shenmue and Yakuza 3. :D

This kind of thing really shows the power PSN can have if used properly. I'd pay a price for a game even if it's only subtitled if it means I get to play it in the first place! You don't have to take the risk with publishing disks and dealing with retailers then...

Exactly. I'm tired of hearing people hating on digital releases with the same tired old arguments. Surely it's the games that matter.

It's not just Yakuza 3 - I really (really REALLY)(REALLY) want to play Ys Seven for PSP. It doesn't have a chance in hell of being released on UMD here or in North America. With an 'Import' section of the PSN I can see such an amazing game being released.

I haven't played the Yakuza games, but I find them intriguing. If 3 is comfirmed, I might pick up the first two. It'd be class if Shenmue came onto PSN, I only ever played it briefly and it seemed pretty amazing!

You might get lucky and atlus will pick it up. Their business is basically niche games. Though, i think they got a bit burnt by the DS version of Ys 1 & 2. Looks good though.

On the topic of Yakuza 3, I can't wait :D
