    Password:
    MMSC: http:mms.um.3ireland.ie:10021/mmsc

OK, changed to settings and got the camera icon for MMS on the iPhone, but when I attached a photo and send it comes up with the following ! in red beside photo which means it hasn't sent. Any suggestions???

What size, in Kilobytes (KB), is the image? Mobile networks only support sending MMS up to 300 KB.

    Sorry for delay.
Just got to try it with a 100kb .jpg file and no luck.

Hoping that 3 do something to allow this, I'm sure it just some settings which need adjusting.

This is what's causing the problem. You need the actual IP address in order for it to work.

    I'll be back.

I had the same issue, in that my settings would not hold. So i installed a profile to hold the settings. Below is a rough guide to what you have to do, hopefully i have not left any thing out, if i did could someone fill them in please.

Reset you network setting then reboot. Or delete your profile if you have one in the general settings.

go to help.benm.at/help.php in safari on the iphone.
scroll down to Mobileconfigs and click Create.
fill in the same info on both mobile internet and visual broadband. the mms settings from what ever network you want. This might not make sense but just do it.
    Check Enable tethering.
Click generate and install to iphone, do not check settings.
    Reboot iphone.
go into the cellular data settings and input the MMSC and MMS Proxy info if you need to they may be populated automatically, if they already there do not change any settings.
Reboot iphone to make sure they stick.
Check cellular data settings, hopefully they are there.
Go to settings>>messages and enable MMS messaging.
    Reboot
Go to messages and create a new message.
Beside the subject field you should now see a camera, press the camera button, choose to take a new photo or select an existing.
    Send message.
You should recieve a message back, if it says you have to log in to view the mms, send another mms to yourself and this should automatically enable mms with the carrier. If not call them an get them to enable mms for you.

This is what i can remember from a tutorial, i think the proper link is lying around here somewhere but i cannot find it sorry!

PS found the link ere you go http://news.metaparadigma.de/?p=2404

There is no need for any of this. The problem was the proxy settings. Just replace them with what I have posted above. I have already done this on a thread here several months ago, 100% success was reported.
