    Hi,

Yesterday I enquired about purchasing a pup from what appeared to be at first glance a reputable advert. However after the first email exchanged it has become clear that it is indeed a scam. Do no send money to these people. You have been warned ! I have included a sample of the emails they have sent me. After this email he agrees to give you the dog but you must pay a delivery charge of 150 euro first. Then when you arrange to collect the pup and not have it delivered he/she makes a sob story about not being at home most days and his sick mom blah blah blah....

    Just be aware guys.

    His email reads......

Thanks for the mail and the interest on my puppies,i just got a New
job. I have come to discover that My New Job
does not give me much Time to look after my babies.they find much
    difficulties in
staying in the house all alone, and due to the nature of my work,I find
    much
difficulties in taking care of them,so I want to give them to any
    caring
    family/
pet lover or a Christian home where they will be well taking care of.I
    hope that
you will take great care of them ok? I will not refuse anyone from
    getting my
babies, all I need for them is loving and caring home for them, and if
    you
    will
accept in sending me update pictures of her every month of them.they
    are is just 11weeks old
so gentle to kids, a very good companion at home, they are good with
    other
    house
pets.they are vet checked,KC registered and up to date on all their
    sorts.they will
run and play like 3year old kids.they have very good temperament with
    kids
    and
other pets at home they will make a very fine house pet. This little
    guys
    love to
run and play, Likes to stop and smell flowers.. they will be coming
    along with a 1-year
health guarantee, they also come along all her playing toys, including
their menu booklet, and video CDs, which shows what they like and dislikes.I will
    like to
know how soon you will be ready for the puppies. My babies are
baby, they are tiny for breeding or showing, but absolutely gorgeous.
    they have been
home raised with lots of TLC and pre-spoiled for their new home and
they are very friendly.they are an excellent example of an extreme lovely
    babies.they are already
willing to go to thier new pets loving and caring home.
I WILL LIKE TO ASK YOU THIS QUESTIONS JUST TO BE SURE THE KIND OF HAND
    MY
    BABIES
    ARE GOING TOO.
1)What do you do for a living(the kind of job you do?This is to be sure
    that
you can take good care of her.
2)Do you have kids and do they love pets?
3)How good is your Environment for pets?
4)How soon do you need this puppies?
5)Have you ever had puppies at your home before(that means have you
    ever breed
    a puppies before?)
6)Would you love to have the male or female?
    7)Where are u located?

Yeah guys, I wanna warn you about a scam aswell.

Down at the Phibsboro shopping center, when you're getting in your car two girls in short shorts and skimpy tank tops come over and start washing it. They get water all over themselves and ask you for a lift. While one of them starts fondling you and blowing you the other one reaches into your pocket and steals your wallet.

Its a pretty well run scam, they got me on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and twice yesterday.

    Not her so.

I can't tell whether he's talking about puppies or pussies at this stage, but whichever it is, it doesn't sound too promising.

Reply back all serious. Say your job is a fur collector and you need to make jackets with them.

    Reply with this.

    Hi Miss,

I would be interested in your puppies.
I would take great care of them and they would have great fun playing very closely with other dogs.
Just a quick question though, are they agressive dogs at all? I mean, if you were to put them in a sort of a pit with another dog do you think they might 'play' with each other if you get me?

Wierd grammer and sentance structure. Referances to religion, specifically Christianity. The 'puppy' owner wouldn't happen to be Nigerian would they?

Its amazing, they are widening the scamming net into some very niche areas these days. Fake Puppy sale ads is a new one. Imagine how niche Astronomy telescopes are. There are now ads appearing with pictures of telescopes taken from astronomy forums. There was a bit of scambaiting going on at an astronomy forum I frequent when someone recognised their own scope for sale :D Needless to say the prospective purchaser had to jump through some convoluted banking and shipping hoops as the seller was emigrating back to Port Arthur by the grace or our lord to visit a sick oil magnate uncle who was a prince........ :D

A few months back there was a dog in my work carpark all day. It was a Friday & when I was leaving she was still there & the gate were to be locked all weekend so I couldn't leave her.
I brought her to my nans & washed & fed her (if I brought her back to mine my mother would have killed me like the 100 times she has before for bringing strays home)..

So anyway my nan put an ad in the herald & then on the Wednesday she decided to see if the dog was chipped, it was & thank god it went back to the rightful owner...
That night she got a call from a man saying "If you get a call from a forgeign (eastern europe) man claiming to own the dog its not his.. he is using the dogs for bait in dog fighting"
The next day she gets a call from a forgein guy "hello you have my dog"

My nan went mad "I dont have your ****in dog ye scumbag"

So I set up load of ads online to try & poach him to ring me.. meet him somewhere & follow him home, unfortunately he didn't call!
