Hi all, just wanted to get your thoughts on this.So I'm doing the DCM in October but really not happy with how my training is going for it.I was on track up until August really and with holidays and moving away to start college things have slide a bit training wise. This is my first marathon.i've been running 4 times a week.My long runs so far have been: starting off 10km in 1hr,then several 7 miles runs,2 11mile runs,I ran the Clontarf half in 2hr 30mins,(wasn't feeling well on day so wasn't my best) 2hour run(don't know what distance that was),14 mile run, 2hr 30mins run and then a 2hr 45mins run last week.Tomorrow I'm going to do a 3 hour run. I'm now thinking of 2 weeks before marathon to up my time by 15mins so next week try run 3hr 15mins then 3hr30mins etc. is this wise?think I'll get through the marathon on the day pshyically with not proper consistant training?hope this all makes sense,it's been a long day.
