Pirate Moustache!

So my girlfriends birthday party is coming up towards the end of october, about the last week. I'm going as a pirate, an I wanna grow a 'tash, but a nice piratey one. Something a la Jack Sparrow. I've got the chin sorted, but I've never been a mustache sorta guy. Does anyone think I'll be able to grow one within the next four weeks? I've got a few days growth going already.
If I can, what's the best way to trim it, or should I just leave it as it is.

I'd say leave it growing for at least a week or two, then shape it closer to what you want. Post up a pic when you get it how you want.

Always let it grow. At the last hour you can trim, carefully! Just let it grow in the first place and you'll be sorted.

If you think about it, I sincerely doubt that any pirate went around trimming their facial hair so I'd say let it grow and let it at that.

If you do want to trim it might I recommend a nice David Crosby style? He's like a jolly singing pirate.
