Just this evening (about 5.30) I was carrying a brand new helmet home. I got home to discover that, while I had secured tthe box to the bike, the helmet fell out. It's still wrappd in its plactic bag. Blue/black. Anyone see it?

There's a decent chance it's still there if you head back. I've dropped stuff before and come back ages later and found it (on track at eastpoint).

I'll be riding there tomorrow morning. I'll keep an eye out.

These are all certainly important questions which I demand are answered, but the most important one is this: how much did you pay for it? Just so I know how much I can flog it for when I find it ;)

Vital questions indeed. Somebody's birthday... And about EUR40 at little sport.

I drove in as far as Fairview this evening in the dark but saw nothing. I'll scan in the morning as I ride.

I even heard the damned thing fall but could feel the box with my bum and took no notice!...

I didn't see any sign of it this morning. Joined the track at Kilbarrack Road and headed towards town.

Yah, me neither. I cycled slowly (jeez, how hard it is to go at less than flat out!) all the way along and then up Griffith Avenue. Nothing to be seen. Even peered backwards into hedges as I passed in case it had rolled in.

    Ah well, such is life...

Call into the local cop shop on your way home, may be lucky!

You definitely dodged the "ironic fail" bullet there.

Sorry didn't see anything last night (would have been around 7.30pm) or again this morning.

@Mockler - I'm sure you are only joking but please don't be picking on Eamonn... he's a lovely guy, a true gentleman and a great source of cycling knowledge/stories.. :D

    +1

I've had a few chats with Eamonn at this stage. Nice guy.

Tried the cop shops, nothing there either. Went and bought another one today and presented it this evening for the birthday...

    Thanks for looking guys.
