    Has anyone walked from Birmingham airport to the NEC? is it a straight forward route?

    its only over the road from the railway station at birmingham airport, easy walk

    It's probably quicker to walk there from the airport than it is from the car park.

    Use the Air-Rail link to the train station, taking about 2 minutes. The NEC is connected directly to the rail station.

    Ditto what Base said.The Air Rail Link is at the opposite end of the airport to where Ryanair flights go from, but it is only a 3 minute walk maybe at most. the Air rail goes every few minutes.
