Bog Oak

Where would be the more likely places to find bog oak? It's a question relavent to archeology, for example, were some counties in ireland more populated with oak trees? And, i suppose then we'd need to factor in those counties with prevalence of bog cover. Basically i'm curious if say, Roscommon has had more bog oak…
