Where would be the more likely places to find bog oak?

It's a question relavent to archeology, for example, were some counties in ireland more populated with oak trees?
And, i suppose then we'd need to factor in those counties with prevalence of bog cover.
Basically i'm curious if say, Roscommon has had more bog oak recovered then say, Mayo.
    Anybody know?
