saddle tilt and height

    saddle tilt and height, any info on this as i think my saddle is a little low and it tilts a bit in the front.
    also pros and cons of each.

    I use the lemond method..... works for me :-) tilt I keep neutral i.e. flat.

    Saddle tilt pros: I've seen some research that this alleviates lower back pain in recreational (i.e. non-professional) cyclists, but the saddle tilt recommended was absurd.

    Saddle tilt cons: looks stupid and against UCI rules.

    Saddle height: as high as possible without rocking your hips at a decent cadence (e.g. 100rpm). Make changes very gradually. Too high: achilles problems. Too low: knee problems.

    Re: checking smoothness at different saddle heights, the best way is to get someone to look at you whilst you're cycling on a turbo. You need to be putting decent power down, so just cruising past someone standing there isn't really good enough. Or you could try it on the road, with someone cycling/driving behind you, looking at your hips.

    thanks ,just a head of you. i have it on the turbo . i put it up a inch .

    Hmmm. TinyExplosions did this and his knees exploded.

    Only move it a quarter of an inch a week. It doesn't seem like much, but it is.
