A friend of friend started 33 days ago a massive trip from London, Britain to Athens, Greece. He is currently at Carcassonne, France. You can see his whole ride here: http://blog.ch3.gr/map/ and you can go through the days, really nice photos and interesting stuff in his blog: http://blog.ch3.gr/day-1/

I can't even express how jealous i am! I ll probably do the same and return home (when and if..) with the bike (sureeee thing :p). It's really interesting, deserves a read :)

If anyone has any interest, the guy has safely returned to Greece. The stats are fun :)

I rode over 6 named cols,
Col du Tourmalet was the highest at 2114m, with a base at 750m and a climb over 18km
I was carrying 22 kilos of stuff, excluding the food of the day,
and 12 kilos which is the weight of the bike.

I am surprised he managed to put on weight. Going at a fair clip over mountains and with all that stuff. 1.5kg though is really a rounding error, may turn out to go down after.
