VW Passat noise

    Hi All,

    I am new here.

I am having VW Passat 2005 and recently I started hearing something like a drilling noise. i don't know how to describe it. It's like noise from an electronic toy car. The noise starts at 60km/h and gets louder when increasing speed. It doesn't matter if the car is on neutral or on a gear or if the clutch is pressed or not.
The noise is driving me nuts!!!!
Have you got any ideas what the problem might be?
    Thanks in advance.

Is it the new shape passat?
Do the car shudder also when stationery?
If so it maybe the Duel mass flywheel. It's hard to detect without hearing it really.

    Thanks Moanin,

This is the old shape passat.
The noise heard only when driving, but it doesn't sound like a faulty bearing. It sounds more like a mechanic rotating part. Like a drill.
