    Hi all,

Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to respray a Civic Type R (Ep3)?

    Thanks!

How long is a piece of string?

Is it in the original colour? If not then it's a huge job to do it properly and you're looking at around 3/4k

Thanks Onkle, I knew I couldn't get a proper answer, but I've never got one resprayed before so I literally have no idea so rough price was all I wanted.

Going from red to blue I hope!

My advice would be to sell it and buy a blue one(did they come in blue?). To do it properly you are looking in the region of 3/4k and you'll never see that money back in resale value

No they don't come in blue, I'm only in the process of buying one now and I'm not to worried about resale value tbh I plan on keeping it for a few years anyway.

lol the red is nice and it will stay red for a few months believe me BUT blue is so pretty! :p

Ha no I'm not that bad, I just want to get behind the wheel atm I couldn't care less if it was pink blue yellow orange or green! I'm just looking forward to the power, I'll live in it! I'm like a little kid who's been promised a toy she's wanted for ages!

And I'm a very happy lady bcoz I found out this morning that my insurance will only go up 270 from my punto to the type R! *does a little dance!*

for the inside sills and engine bay and all to be resprayed blue you'd be looking at the €3k - €4k region I reckon to get a decent job done.

Get a DC5 instead, they came in blue :D

Yea I looking at them too, seen a lovely clean looking one but I dunno I just prefer the EP3s. I'm still looking, if I seen a really stunning one then I might be persuaded tho but I have my eye on this EP3.

With Onkle on this, but if you must respray buy one where the body is a bit scatched already and try get a decent discount.

    EG Sir tbh though.

Im not sure where exactly you are from but around Dublin and larger cities painters seem to make up their prices!!

In my neck of the woods (Donegal) you could get a proper professional paintjob (colour change) for approx €2000 if not less. If you went into the North it could be done cheaper again! I know its a bit of a trek but sure when your saving that kind of money I wouldnt care!!
