    Hi guys,

Leaving Vientiane tonight on bus to Pakse and was wondering could anyone recommend some cool stuff to do in Pakse or that general area?

Have kind of skipped through Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. Don't really feel like I did enough in either place and would like to get out there and do some stuff.

Any ideas for Pakse or South Laos in general?

    Thanks,

Also, how would Cambodia and Vietnam compare with Laos in terms of expenses? Much dearer?
    Kraggy.

Nothing really in Pakse. It's more of a hub. People use it to go to the Boleven Plateau (sp?), Shi Phan Doon and Wat Phu. You can rent a moped and drive around. It's a nice region. But it's stuff you've probably all done before.

I spent more in Cambodia. Granted because i rented drivers for the day, paid into Angor Wat, went shooting a few times and kayaking. So that drove up the costs. But everything else is cheap. I also found Vietnam really cheap. Not much more expensive than Laos. A bit more expensive to go out in the bigger bars and clubs though.

I had a good time down in 4000 islands and it was very cheap.
