I do not. I do however know about Butch Ross who is playing on Oct 27th. He is a dulcimer player that will blow your mind.

yeah i saw thast on their myspace. kev fox is on that night too and he's great.

also i saw on entertainment.ie that some of the b'day line up has been announced and includes glen hansard, damien rice, paul brady, declan o'rourke, villagers, heathers, mundy & kila. they also said that there are a few bigger names that they aren't announcing.

they're not saying who's playing which night so it looks like i'm out on the beer for the next 4 tuesdays!

So Glen and Damien were rumoured to play last tuesday night and I went in hoping to see them, got there at 7:45 for a 9pm door opening.

Apparently the venue holds 170 people and there definitely didn't seem like that many people of us in the queue so we hung out, chatted and had a few beers.

Glen and Damien came out and played a few songs on the street around the corner behind the queue but we didn't go around to see them in case we lost our place in the queue but it didn't matter anyway as a guy that worked there came out before 9 and told us that somebody had been giving out bands before the queue was let in so there were f*&k all spaces left inside. I'd say about 70 people from the front of the queue were let in....what a disappointment!!

on another note, a big Hi to the 2 donegal girls we met in the queue and can't wait til next week OR the week after when Frightened rabbit play!!!! YAYY!

hey marco, that sucks that you didnt get in. was a savage show. i left doyles at 6.30am that night, very very messy. good one again last night with jack l, mick pyro (rep of loose) kila and gavin glass. next weeks lineup is <actually scrap that>. PM me and i'll make sure you and a mate are sorted with bands and can skip the whole queuing business

edit: decided to not publish the acts, i'll get in trouble. i'll let you know in a PM

Last night's show was fantastic. Loved Kila but Jack L was stunning. Adored his version of Old Man River. The entire crowd was silent with the exception of one person who shouted out Jeff Buckley in the middle of it for some reason.

Looking forward to next week. At least we can bring pints out to the queue although I was salivating at someone who had Supermacs/

i was playing piano with Jack last night, so, glad you enjoyed it! great crowd, never seen little man (the last song before old man river) get as aggressive a reaction as that.

Ah I remember you! Congrats on the performance. Highlight of the night. Little Man was fantastic too. I haven't heard much of his stuff but I have to now!

Congrats again. Are you playing next week?

Nope, not playing next week. I know who is though :) it's gonna be a great one, probably the best one so far.

Any clues? Though I think it's a process of elimination now :)
