Although it's commendable you're trying to bring culture to us all please don't post event flyer threads. This is a discussion forum, not a "post up your event" forum.

Why the heck is everything happening at the same time?? Thought a thing like this should be spread out over a couple of days and named "Galway Culture Wek" instead of "Night" tbh

"The Arts Office of University College Hospital presents a concert .."

When did the hospital get an Arts Office, how many are employed there.. how many patients were on trollies last night?
Other than that, a noticeable lack of celebrating galway's self conferred status as a gaeilge hub

It started in Dublin as "culture night" - attempting to get folks who don't normally "do" cultural stuff to try one night. A big selling point is that the events are free, and for that to be realistic, they need to be at a time when the artists wouldn't otherwise be making (much) money.

TBH, I'm not sure that Galway needs it as much as Dublin, but there was quite a bit of noise here (boards) last year about the poor showing from Galway.

I thought it was just the one night, but in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

It was actually great craic last year. Seems like less music and comedy this year tho..
