Looking to buy quite a few frames, all shapes and sizes (well, nothing above a4).Can be new or second hand. Anyone got suggestions for online or bricks and mortar places?tried ebay, but all sold in twos and threes.

    cheers

ikea have an interesting range - nothing overly complicated and not too much variety (different colours rather than multiple styles) - and all darn good value. Lots of sizes. I know you said A4 max but their large formats are really clean and look great. (on my todo list ;))

I saw some in Ikea too. Seems like decent prices.

Home Store and More have 1/2 price frames.

Got some nice(ish) aluminium 10*8 and 16*12 for less than €4 each

Got some frames for Ikea. They do seem like good value but when I opened them they were crap. One of them wouldnt stand up on their own cos the cardboard at the back was really flimsy. Okay so they were €6 for two 5x7 but still, I'd rather pay a little extra to get good quality.

If price is your main concern, go with Ikea.

If quality is your main concern, go somewhere else.

hmm, thanks for that t-rev. I was just saying to someone that i'd go with the ikea idea but maybe i'll buy just one first and see what quality is like. This is the prob with ikea i suppose.cheers

If they're for personal use, I'd say Ikea frames have filled in the hole after Habitat's implosion. They're good value.

If they're for selling, you're better off getting your photos professionally framed/mounted. For framing, I don't know where to go. For mounting, Fire behind Camden St. are excellent.
