Look at all those young wrestlers that have died over the years. most of the Von Erich children, Test, Mike Awesome and many other wrestlers that have died too young. Really makes you think that wrestling is like a curse.

Not really. It makes me look at the demographic that participates and their substance abuse.

True a lot of that does have to so with substance abuse, but a lot of the abuse is brought on by the stressful environment of wrestling and what it takes out of you.

Not to mention Benoit and Guerrero. It just goes to show that Roid Rage isnt a myth!

While I'm not ruling out steroid use as a factor in any deaths, because it was recorded on a few wrestlers autopsy reports, it's unlikely to be the biggest factor

The biggest factor is recreational and prescription drug abuse

Without sounding all puritan and everything, CM Punk is showing now you can work that schedule drug and painkiller free (and alcohol free but that's a tad extreme) and reach the top. Most of those who died did because of their own stupidity
