    Folks

Have a little bit of spare lolly from selling a car and am thinking of buying something for the weekend

Wouldn't mind something a little sporty but want something reliable

    Any thoughts

go a little more and you can get my integra!

but for 4k an Mx5 would be the best weekend car.

    Which version/year mr2 and celica?

Was hoping to get something around 01 or 02 if at all possible but more likely a 2000 or 99

    You'd never get a 01 or 02 Celica or Mr2 for €4k? or even a 99 or 00?

You'd be surprised. The new shape MR2's are really cheap.

Well, the chassis is supposed to be much improved, they're supposed to be a bit more comfortable, the 1.8 140bhp engine is the only choice, so no turbo, but I think they're better than the old one. But people didn't like the big change in the looks, and with no turbo (even though no turbo was ever for sale in the UK) people just wrote it off. Mistakenly in my book.

Maybe not 4k, but let it sit there a while and make a low offer and who knows how happy the dealer will be to off-load it -

I have had one of these for the past while and they are an absolute HOOT.
