Ok just went outside my house and spotted a big chip in my front windscreen with small lines radiating out around it , its around 2 euro coin size .
I am with quinn and have windscreen cover
Rang the number in the policy book its 24/7 was told will get a call back in the next few hours , still no sign .
Might have a few hours free tomorrow afternoon so if i dont hear back can i just call into autoglass ? they are literally 5 mins away from me or do i need the go ahead from insurance first?

No personal experience but according to their website they look after the claim for you. A Repair is usually free and wont affect your no claims.

The Quinn part is fine. However the Autoglass part was definitely a very weak link, in my experience. Between getting "well no-one told me" and stuff like "it's 5 o'clock.. the lads are on their way home" etc etc. I ended up telling them it was 2 days since I reported it to QD, and would get it fixed locally and send them the bill.

You'll get a call from the repair people that QD choose to arrange repair or replacement, probably in the morning.

When I got a new windscreen I was with Quinn as well and it was the next day they rang me back about it.
