Looking for a Silver LCD TV

Hi,

Searched all over the place, but no bricks & mortars seem to have silver LCD's and web shops are too vague to risk a purchase only to find out its the all pervasive black....
A silver LCD is requred to replace a silver CRT, size preferably 37"-40", good brand, Full HD would be good but not essential, price would depend but not over €800 preferably.

Can you help???

I have done some digging and drawn a blank looking for a silver television:( I have asked all of the other guys here also and still no luck!!

However the 9000 series Philips screens are brushed Aluminium. Fantastic Televisions!!!

Silver TV's are a rare breed!

Most are black, as I guess you have discovered.

Right the 37PFL9604H is actually a very dark grey (just a shade or two lighter than black - they probably call it anthracite!.....)

The 40PFL9704 on the other hand has a brushed aluminium finish to it.
This TV is due in over the next few weeks - I saw its bigger brother at the trade show earlier this month and it was very impressive.

The estimated price is €2199.99 before your Boardie discount.

All the other Philips ranges (except the 42PFL9903 Aurea) are black.
Most now have very thin frames around the screens, can you call in and view them the flesh?
You may find the black ones are nice with the slim frames.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for your advice so far, the 37pfl9604h on the philips link says it has a "Colour cabinet - Brushed aluminium decofront", is it definitely dark, do you have it in the shop?

I have one on display in the shop.
I isn't silver - not even vaguely, I'd almost describe it as Gun Metal Grey if that helps!!

Shame it has to be silver, you'll limit your choice dramatically.
