Local/Community Recycling Facilities (Kildare)

    Hi Folks,

    I have been looking for ways to recycle various household waste that rather stupidly is not accepted in the 'green bins' that KCC providers for recycling. I was pleasantly surprised to find that alot of the stuff I wanted to recycle is recyclable but shocked to find out that I had to pay for KCC the privilege of using their recycling centres. One example being aerosol cans which are a very common every day household item that are not accepted in the green bins (according to KCC website) and I would have to pay 7.22 just to drop off at a recycling centre.

    Does anyone know of a local or community recycling drop off centre where items such as aerosols can be dropped off without having to pay an extortionate fee and essentially being ripped off by your local county council for assisting them in achieving their recycling targets.
