Not sure if this fits into this forum or not as it was a mini-series from the 70's.

Somebody was talking about "Rich Man, Poor Man" recently and it had been years since I'd seen it as a child. One of the first television memories that I have.

Falconetti was the first real true "baddie" that I'd seen on tv. Boy, was he bad, black eye patch and all! Great character.

I think he killed Peter Strauss's character of Rudi Jordache at the end but cant be sure. Anybody know?

I thought it was Tom Jordache he killed - the Nick Nolte character - but I was probably as young as you were. He really was a great character. I must look out for the series on DVD. If I could get that, The Paper Chase, and Washington Behind Closed Doors, my yank-telly nostalgia bucket would be full to overflowing.

Thanks for bringing back the memories. In return, you'll enjoy this scene. It shows why that bad boy needed an eyepatch in the first place.

Heh heh. Great scene alright. He killed Tom (or at least got him killed) in series 1. He looked on from the docks when Tom was dying letting him know he was behind it.

Rudy shot the bad egg in the last episode but sneaky Falconetti pulled a gun from his boot and shot Rudy in the back If I remember correctly. I think it ended with both men bleeding to death in an alleyway but both still alive.

I'd love to get it on DVD as well. Ah, the memories!
