My Plasma has only 1 HDMI input ... and my DSP is running out of Optical inputs so I'm considering a combination switch to allow 4 HDMI & 4 Digtial Audio Inputs to be switched in to 1 HDMI and 1 Digital Audio Optical Output ...

A bit of googling led me to this little baby Octava 4 port HDMI & Digital Audio Box

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this box?

yip, have used one in our lab before. Never had any problems with it. The unit can even be used to join two long HDMI cables together as it has the capability to "boost" weak signals.

Thanks ... as a matter of interest where did you purchase it ?

Are there any dealers in Ireland reselling?

dont know where we got ours but I do know that ukhdmi.com sell some Octava units. That site seems to have a good rep. Good solid engineered HDMI products sold at non-silly prices.

    Thanks ...

I ended up buying from euhdmi ... they have a full online purchasing system in Euros and ship to Ireland for free ...

Now to place an order with UPC muppets for a new HD receiver ... though I notice they are a bit vague about the number of HD channels they support currently ... can anyone comment on that?

My Panasonic Blu Ray arrives Friday ... hopefully to coincide with the HDMI switch and order from the Amazon :D

I'll be fully HD compliant this time next week with any luck...
