I know that demographics and distance would be two factors, but i was wondering how do you "professional/gigging" bands, solo artists decide how much to charge for a gig? You dont want to work for nothing and neither do you want to price yourself out of the market, so how much is right. Given that its done for the enjoyment also, or primarily in many cases, this is also surely a factor. Anybody got any figures to throw about?
