iPhone and Ford Mondeo

I have a new iPhone and a 08 Ford Mondeo. The built-in bluetooth in the Mondeo used work with my previous phone but it will not work with the iPhone. The iPhone sees it but will not pair with it... Any ideas?

did you delete the other phone pairing?
it can only pair with one profile at a time.

No I didn't, don't know how to do that. There were two phones paired with it originally though, mine and my boyfriends. We never tried to use them both at the same time but they both worked individually...
