Presented by 'THE GROUP', a piece band and full brass section. 'The Last Waltz Tribute' is a re-enactment of the farewell concert by 'The Band' as filmed by Martin Scorsese in the documentary 'The Last Waltz' which was hailed as one of the best rock music films of all time. It started as a concert. It became a celebration - and one of the best loved music films of all time! Now Dublin rock'n'roll troupe The Group are bringing The Band's magical farewell concert back to the stage with this fantastic re-enactment of Martin Scorese's award-winning documentary, The Last Waltz. Scorese's fantastic film captured the friendships, the harmonies, the hijinks, and the wear and tear that added up to The Band's final gig. But it also showed some of the finest performances in modern music history, as special guest stars (including Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Ronnie "The Hawk" Hawkins, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, etc) took to the stage to say goodbye to the Canadian rock giants. And this fantastic 30th Anniversary Tribute show promises to recreate all the buzz, excitement and stunning showmanship of the original. Starring The Group themselves as The Band (naturally!) and featuring a whole host of special musical guest-stars, this fantastic evening promises to be a real treat for fans of The Band - and anyone else who loves good-old fashioned great music!
