Road Rage on M50

was involved in a very scary incident today on M50, arounnd 2pm. Was heading northbound and was probably near Ballymount turn off. Traffic was fairly compacted and I was in slow lane. Checked mirror - nobody in fast lane behind me. Indicated (not for too long I admit) and started to turn into fast lane. Car from behind me had shot out of slow lane and into fast lane with no indication. I pulled back in to my own lane. I'm thinking wtf - and a few secs later car involved slows a bit so I come up along side it. projectile is thrown out window of car and hits my car (seems to be no damage - guessing it was a half filled water bottle). I go ahead and move into fast lane. just as I'm passing a car in slow lane car reappears speeding up slow lane and cuts dangerously in from slow lane ahead of me, causing me to brake. the other car was a navy citroen c3 I think - didn't get reg. Driver is highly animated guy - not Irish - I would guess north african (morrocco or algeria). nearing m7 turn off at this stage and that must be where he was planning to get off. he speeds up and pulls over near side of road gesturing me to come over to sort it out or something. Given his previous actions I decide that this would not be a good idea so drive on. Very scary at the time - I'm fairly sure that I wasn't in the wrong initially but either way the guy is a lunatic and could have caused a major accident. Is there any point in reporting to guards without reg?

Yes report the lunatic. If you have the make of the car i would. Sounds crazy.
What if his next victim has small children in the car, or he looses control of the car.
Where do they get their licenses????

If indeed he had a license!

Sounds strange to me but this incident seemed to last a couple of minutes...you never got his reg...

I had an "incident" with a woman, Gold cinquecento on the Navan rd this morning....vw stopped up front at red light, then her ,then me...light changes to green, she sounds her horn immediately ..vw driver looks in his mirror and takes off ..we all take off..but not quick enough for her, she switches to the bus lane and undertakes him...next red light vw is going left, we all stop again ,he gives her a filty look..she stares straight ahead..green light ,we take off ..we approach some moving cars and again she's into the bus lane..more traffic ahead turning right..she gets stuck ,we get by in the straight ahead inside lane....couple of seconds later she's behind me...
I'm turning right into Maple center..indicator on..she buzzes by blasting her horn.........i did nothing wrong..but i did take her reg and co-incidently there was a garda car at the Spar shop....he took the details and he said he'd keep an eye out for her...good enough for me ...;)

I know but it all happened fairly fast - about 90 secs I'd say and with him being beside me, to side of me etc at high enough speed. After something was thrown out the window at my car and the guy cutting me off nearly causing an accident I was more worried about what he was planning to do next than getting the reg.

I have reported incidents on the m50 with reg plates and nothing done the Garda could not give a ****, too hard to catch someone in the act on a motorway unless they drive right by a patrol car.
