    Hi All
Could someone please set me straight on a few things. I'm getting conflicting information from RSA....
My GF is coming to the end of her third provisional and will be applying for the new Learners Permit.
Now is where the fun begins.
She has the application form, but does she have to:
    a. Book/Sit a driving test
    b. Have a eye test
before she can get her learners permit (essentially her 4th provisional)

It would be great if someone could spell it out for me, 3 different people in the RSA have given me 3 different answers!!!!

    Cheers
    HB

You haven't stated whether she has done a test recently.

If she has and has, and has been unsuccessful, she may apply for another Learner Permit for 2 years.

If she hasn't any evidence of having done a test, she may apply for a Learner Permit for 1 year but must show evidence of having applied for a test.

    b. Have a eye test
No - providing her last Learner Permit(Provisional) hasn't expired by more than 5(?) years.
