i am taking lexapro for depression.

i have found it makes it almost impossible to cum also i believe it makes the penis less sensitive

i have no trouble getting erect or staying erect

i was with a lady and it was like being on viagra/cocaine, while i am sure she enjoyed it, i felt disappointed as it was impossible for me to cum, selfish of me i know....

anyway anybody have any experience of lexapro and is there a solution to this problem ?

I've never takin in it, but it seems to be a common side affect from what I've read...
I would'nt let it play on you to much ...
Had you been drinking to ?

your looking for fairly specific advice relating to a specific drug. The only person to discuss side effects etc is with the doctor who prescribed the drug in the first place. The things could be related or then again they might not be at all.

I'll leave this thread open for a while on the basis that there will be no medical advice or internet diagnosis given. Posters are free to recount their own personal experiences though

Yeah, been there. Been on the stuff for years and it definitely makes it more difficult to finish. I mean I can take care of myself, but its very difficult for someone else to do it. No solutions Im afraid ... just sympathy.

P.S. Dont presume to quit the drug without takling to doctor ... its something which must be done gradually.

I'm afraid its one of the more common and less desirable side-affects of anti-depressants accross the board.

You probably find that you're sweating more too!

Go back to your GP and discuss it. If you are on an anti-depressant you may not be feeling to hot anyway and they can perscribe medication for any resultant erectile dysfunction -such as viagra or cialis.

Someone posted that you might be sweating more and dehydration is a common side effect which can affect your performance. Dehydration also lowers blood pressure.Try increasing your fluid intake of water a bit -nothing major - and try subtituting a bottle of water instead of tea coffee or a soft drink. Avoid alcohol.

Folks, I'm afraid this thread is turning into specific medical advice; the main point has been established ... the OP is not alone, and other people have had similar experiences.

OP you should go back to your doctor and discuss this further.

I'm going to lock this thread, in line with the charter.

Best of luck ... and well done for being so honest.
