That album, Disintegration, is probably the first one that got me into decent music. I made the leap from Sonia to The Cure in '89 and never looked back. :)

The cure are one of the greatest bands ever, first time i saw them was in the RDS in 89 i think. I was 12, saved up for my ticket for months then snuck out of the house and went on my own.

Great track from a great album. Seventeen Seconds though is probably my favourite.

Brilliant album, I've become a Cure-CD-Buying-Freak (!!) over last few years and this would have to be my favourite. The title track alone, 9 mins of that pounding drum groove....and of course ya never hear it on the radio cos its 9 minutes!

Ok its 8.18 mins to be precise!;)

I'd say the cure havent released a decent album since Mixed Up - bar Bloodflowers. Most of the later albums sound like a cure covers band.

That was some leap :) I went from Tiffany to the Cure ;) Yeah, that album is wonderful. My favourite song from the album, though I do love Pictures of You very much, is Plainsong. I sometimes can't even listen to it because it makes me so upset but I take that as the sign of a very powerful song.
