try the Alaska forum on tripadvisor.com - the news forum on here is probably not the best place to post.

Alaska is beautiful but one week is plenty...we split our time between Anchorage (not a lot to see/do), Seward and Girdwood. Hired a car. Did a day cruise out of Seward...that was plenty wildlife and nature for us.
