demented with roller blinds

Every time I have to take down my roller blinds they lose tension and nothing I do seems to fix them.

I've googled and tried all the usual "rolling them back up by hand until the tension returns" - except the tension never returns. I've handrolled my blinds so many times my arms are hanging off and yet the blinds are stil droopy.

I'm thoroughly fed up of trying to solve what should be an easily solvable problem, has anyone any pointers? The blinds were super-tense (like me now) before I took them down so they're not broken or anything.

try winding the square prong on the end of the roller with a pliers or something you should hear it clicking

Winding blinds up by pliers is the main cause of broken springs. Instead, tension blinds on window as follows.
fit blind on window ensuring square pin is on left, fabric rolling over top of blind towards glass.
Pull blind down. If there is insuficent tension to return blind to top, remove blind from brackets and roll up by hand. Replace in brackets.

Sorry for the repetition but there should be more than enough tension now. If not, check if fabric is rolled backwards on roller, is square pin slipping in brackets.
