Looking for advice if anyone can help

have a new semi d timber frame house. the party sperating walls are timber frame with id imagine two layers of plasterbaord either side and rockwoll insualation. it is a sperated stud party wall giving i persume a clear divide between me and my neighbours to ""prevent sound transmission".

However i find the noise coming from next door excessive and was wondering what are the best sound proofing materials in this case? i dont need to build a sperate unattached wall as we already have this.. does anyone recomend or have heard of phonewell?? i think it is used with soundbloc and is it expensive job to get done???

This is one way but you loose some of the room so I would only do this in the main bedroom;) and the sitting room

    thanks

the existing sepertating wall is timber frame and has an air gap so i would prefer to upgrade this wall maybe rather than adding a new wall with a new air gap. the product you refer to seems to be more for solid block partitions??

    Search avforums.com for "green glue".

The home theater guys there swear by this stuff.
