Is Lidl opening in Templemore? If so that might be a start, in the shopping center in Thurles the new gift shop that's opening is looking for staff.

You probably have done already but if you just spend a day walking around the town looking at shop windows etc. you might spot something.

Is there anythin in particular you are interested in or do you prefer shop work or pub work etc.

Xtravision in Thurles is actually looking for people at the moment, since they're expanding their store, and Peter O'Dwyer's shoes on Friar Street always seems to be hiring. Keep an eye on fás's jobseeking database and cross your fingers! ( http://jobbank.fas.ie/servlet/Watis?REQUEST.WWW_JS_LOGIN_NONREG_EN&LANG_TEMPLATE=EN&SYSTEM_ID=VAC )

Hey any idea if there's anywhere a 17 year old could get part time work in the Thurles area?

Dunnes Stores in Thurles often takes on people in fifth or sixth year for after-school hours. They'll have hired for Christmas by now but after Christmas they should be taking people on again.

So hand in a CV now, or after Christmas? Or just ask for an application form instead of a CV?

Thanks by the way. :) Oh and sorry for hijacking the thread, just didn't want to start a new one.
