Looking at making a purchase of a new pair of running shoes for the marathon and here are my choices, Gel Kayanos or Spira, (like the idea of the springs) but my question is does anyone have any experience of the Spira shoes?

    Thanks in advance.

I have been running for the past 35 years and have tried most ,if not all of the main runners, and in all of that time I have always went back to the Asics range of runners, especially for Marathon training, for the actual Marathon itself I always wore running flats, but these are not for someone who is just running to finish a Marathon but for someone after a good time.
Nike are a very popular runner, but I found them very soft soled and they did not have much motion control in the heal area "Achilles tendon" problems.
Hope this helps you some what.
