Some time ago there was a thread about emailing a text message to a mobile. I cannot find the thread. But did anyone ever get this working on a Meteor phone.

From what i remember the email address you emailed was something like this:
"0811234567@sms.mymeteor.ie" (without the quotation marks) where 0811234567 is the mobile number you wish to text

I have been trying it today but without success. Did anyone get it working?

as long as they're free to receive and the mms.mymeteor.ie thing stays up i dont mind

i always wondered if there was a way to set up one's own MMS server, and if i could get away with just using a PHP script and using mymeteor webtexts for the SMS part of it.

just for the lulz of course not to use it for anything serious
