    Hey,

Not too sure if this is the right section to post in?

Where's a good place in Galway city to buy car batteries?

    Thanks,

Cannot give you the name of a place as I am not from the area but I would imagine a local tyre centre or motor factors would stock car batteries if that helps.

Do you need it fitted? If so just use Advanced Pitstop or similar.
If you can fit and recycle the battery yourself try Partway or Calbro Motor Factors

any of the motor factors should have one if you can fit one your self. got one in top parts on tuam road for 55 euro last week and they will take the old battery off you so you dont have to worry about recycling it. (any place that sells batteries has to do this by law now i think)

This is true, even if you don't buy a battery off them.

OP, price a main dealer. Last time I bought a battery the main dealer was €1 more expensive than a motor factors.

price and the may knock off a few quid ....:)

Car batteries vary in size and power output. (and this determines their price).....and you will prob pay an extra €10-20 to get it put in.

Diesel Engines needs a bigger "spark" so tend to need bigger more powerful batteries.

Paid €60 for a car battery (12v 44Ahm) today in Top Part Tuam Rd. (I consider this to be an OK price had a price of €50 in mind for some reason but how-and-ever).

This size of battery is probably the cheapest type of battery you can buy and is suitbale for a small petrol engined car (1.2 Seat Ibiza in this case)

I have paid €100 - €120 for bigger batteries for Large Diesel cars and Jeeps in the past (Always put them in myself)

try car parts warehouse in the liosban estate, or partway, or calbro.

    They're all out in Liosban.
