Pro's not using Super Record

Some of the pros in the Vuelta using campag don’t seem to be using Super Record. Cunego and Basso seem to be using Record while Evans and Valverde use Super Record. I am basing this on the fact Super Record has slots on the levers and the photos from Cunego’s last stage win show him and Basso not having these. Any reason why? They are both high profile riders and you would think campag would want them to use the best (and lighter)

I think it might be like that due to fact at the start of the season there was a shortage of Superrecord and most of the Pros are on record and maybe they just never changed.

maybe its not the best? maybe there are production problems? maybe its just too expensive to be giving to the pros.

Most pro's on campag equiped teams are not issued with super record. It's purely a cost issue.
Only the "top" riders get super record, it's even the same on protour teams.

Haven't been following too closely who's using what, but when 11 speed first came out, there was a limited supply of Super Record and all the pros were being given Record. Could still be the case that spare bikes/secondary.

The other thing to bear in mind is that when it comes to the levers, there is hardly any difference between Super Record, Record and indeed Chorus. We're talking about a few grams really. And since most pro teams have to add weight to bikes, it would hardly make a difference.
