VMWare Fusion for $34.95 on MUPromo.com. Offer ends on Sunday, September 20th.

A complete bargain at that price.

Sweet. If I didn't already have a license I'd go for it. I much prefer it to Parallels Desktop. A steal at that price.

How would a Macbook with 1GB of RAM run with a windows running through VMWare? Would it be very slow?

You could run Windows XP with 512MB and most basic tasks within Windows should be fine - though you might see slow downs on Mac OS X, especially if you're running Leopard. 2GB or more would be advisable if you want to be easily running Windows VMs.

    plenty of reasons.

some software solutions are still very windows rooted. auto cad is one of them.

also a lot of web designers like to have windows installed so that they can test their sites in an varied array of web browsers that are windows only cause let's face it the world is still using windows so they need to be tested under windows and windows browswers.

Spend "$0" on virtualbox and the $34.95 on 2gigs extra ram, 99% of the VMware features are there...and the ram will be well worth the extra cash (for every application, snow leopard etc), first thing i spend money on for my macbook.
