    Hi guys,

The next Green Spheres gig is just around the corner. As usual, it's free in but you have to register for tickets over at heinekenmusic.ie to be in with a shot at getting one.

Will be running some comps here on boards and on the twitter and facebook so keep an eye out.

I got the mail last night but all mine says is that the ticket office is now open... looks like theyve started giving them out too according to the forum on the site (which drives me mad by the way)

    Nightmare.. :/

AFAIK only that one person (name begins with a T!) got a ticket...go figure..we all got that email late last night about the ticket office being open; what's that about anyway??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,096 ✭✭✭LadyMayBelle

    Hi guys,
The ticket office opened last night and tickets were indeed issued to some lucky people. We will have more to come over the next week too so keep an eye open.

If you don't hear back, I will let you know of any comps we have coming up too.

    Good Luck everyone!

Ed! We need help over on the Green Spheres forums! A friend of mine sent me an invite not realising that I had already been offered tickets. Now I cant accept her invite and I cant send out my own invite. What will I do??

UUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Pete Doherty in The Roisin on Saturday, AND I HAVE NO FREAKN TICKETS!!!!!

Does anyone else think its totally unfair how they distribute tickets on a random basis? WHY???? WHY DO THEY DO IT THIS WAY????????

It was the same for the Coors Light gig last week....! I signed up for tickets to both gigs AGGEEESSSSS ago and yet NOTHING :(

What the helllllllll is the point of giving out tickets this way?? There is blatantly a demand for tickets and people will have no problem paying for them!!!!! These two gigs arn't exactly the O2 in terms of crowd capacity!!!!!!!!!

How did they distribute the tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 661 ✭✭✭fend

you sign up with the heinikan green spheres website nd then they ranomly decide who is or isnt worthy....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,402 ✭✭✭nxbyveromdwjpg

Its the luck of the draw, thats the whole point, and the small size of the venue is what makes it special and different to every other gig. Pete Doherty in somewhere like the o2 would be terrible.

    Sorry I ment Thursday!
It seems like everyone who got tickets, arn't even from Galway!!

Yes I still would have posted this rant because I still think its unfair! A lot of my friends didnt get tickets either which is leaving a lot of people very disappointed. He sold out his gig in Dublin, why not try make a few bob and sell tickets to this? He would have sold out down here too.

What about the Coors light gig? Didnt get tickets for that! How many more gigs are there going to be, done this way???

    calm down mate
sounds like a deadly ticket distributing method-much more special when u get a ticket and whether your from Galway or not is clearly irrelevant

Peter Doherty's scheduled Heineken Green Spheres gig in Galway this week has been postponed.

A statement was issued today from the artist's agent: "Last night Peter Doherty was admitted to Swindon Hospital with exhaustion and breathing difficulties. He is currently under observation by doctors."

The Galway show and his other Irish dates (Belfast, Tuesday 13th and Dublin, Wednesday 14th) are currently being rescheduled with dates to be announced.

Heineken Green Spheres tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled date.

Heineken Music's thoughts are with Peter and his family at this time.
