I tried ordering some readybags and two of the frames (chamelon i think?) and the shipping to ireland was over 200 dollars!!

they look very nice though and good prices (except for shipping).
    just buy your own rockwool.

They have some very nice mounting brackets and come recommended on acoustic sites. seem like a better option than real traps price to performance wise.

I need to contact them about that shipping price though and see if its a mistake.

eek that is expensive on the shipping. Yeah I think buying rockwool here might be a cheaper option.

How have you found the performance?

I was just going to mention Shipping !
Everything from the US is gone ridic.

Have you looked at Ghost Acoustics - not gorgeous but does what it says on tin.
Your local friendly dealer has some if you want to try?

Will bell ya dude, the ghost stuff might do the trick.

any thoughts on the Auralex Max-Wall stuff? Like the idea that it could be multi purpose i.e. used at tracking stage to control the room and also at mixing stage to control the control room.

I need bass trapping and I don't have a fortune to spend. I also can't do anything permanent (for now). Any advice on this would me mega. All I really know about acoustics at the moment is that I have a problem with mine.:(

Max wall isn't going to do much in low end and whilst it is portable as it's foam so of limited durability.

There's a load of Ghost in HQ if you want to take some to try.

It is rockwool based (or similar) but with the added advantage of durability.

IMO you need to make superchunks. Do a google on 'em. And let me know if you're getting rockwool, I bought a load last year so can give you the contact details.

Send me a map of your room with a few photos and I'll get Chris from Munro to throw the V.A.M.T. over it to see what he has to say.

Cheers Paul, will get the dimensions over the weekend. And take a few snaps.

Do, if we can establish what the likely areas of trouble are it will make solving them simpler.
