    any ever have one of these - and did things go wrong with it - eg mouse stop working regularly?

    They look very similar to the Asus laptops, i was thinking about buying an MSI have you had problems?

    well a couple of bits dropped off - battery lock, and the mouse pad driver uninstalled itself twice. initially the error was caused by installing skype, but then fixed itself. now it has stopped working altogether so have a usb mouse which i would rather not use. not being a techie, i dont know how to reinstall the mouse driver.
    the toys on it are nice - and is a fairly quick performer in terms of opening/closing and using applications, as compared to my toshiba.

    There may be a function key that disables the mouse pad. It's usually fn + one of the function keys (F1, F2 etc), it's worth checking. Go onto MSI's site to find drivers for the mouse pad if needs be.
