Did it have to be a Tikka case or had you considered a Peli or a Storm case?
(You could even get Storm to laser-cut the foam for your specific rifle if you wanted that, they've a place in Dun Laoghaire)

Expensive but they're worth it. Stick three grand's worth of rifle+scope in there and they're very worth it.
(and you can get them from N.Ireland with cheaper shipping too).

    thanks.

http://www.pro-cases.co.uk/ is run by the same person who runs http://www.intershoot.co.uk/ and he also occasionally posts here as demonloop. He's based in Omagh and is very decent to deal with.

A Peli 1750 sounds like it would fit your rifle, it's 50.5" x 13.5" x 5.25". Just check out the exterior dimensions (53" x 16" x 6") because the 1750s can be a little tricky to fit in a car boot depending on the car and what else is going in there.

A soft case is much handier for going in a boot, but if you're ever going to fly abroad with it you're going to need a hard case (both for security and to stop the baggage handlers destroying your rifle).

    I must be missing something lads. The Peli 1750 is £203.64 + v.a.t. @ 15% + shipping on pro-cases.co.uk

I got mine from that guy on ebay. Very quick delivery.

It's a briiliant piece of kit. I keep my Sako TRG with scope in it.

IRLConor is right about the size though. I cant fit it in the boot of the car. I have to put it behind the two front seats.

Yeah, the 1750s are enormous. And there's the 1770 now, just in case you own a small truck and want to cart your 20mm cannon around...
I've a 1720 myself, it can go in the boot if there's nothing else in there as well, but I usually just put it in behind the two seats because it can be awkward to get it in and out of the boot.

(for those with security concerns, the case can be padlocked, and you could always chain the padlock to a hardpoint inside the car if you wanted)
