hi, ive just downloaded super mario bros 3 on the wii virtual console.
when i go to play it i get "mode not supported" on the screen. I know im using a HDTV with component cables, and ive tried turning all the settings down to the minimum. still wont work, I hit the home button and the pause/options menu show up fine. I dont have the old scart leads that came with it.

Has anyone any way of fixing this? thank you!!

I think it means that whatever mode you're using with regards to 50Hz/60Hz isn't supported by the game.

If you can, change that option to the other one and then hopefully it should work :)

Bring up the Home menu inside the game and select the operations guide.
Plug in your Nunchuk and press Z, and on your Wiimote, press A and 1. You should hear a noise to say it's worked.

You will be able to play it on your TV now.

To turn it off, repeat the process, and press 2 instead of 1.
