Dead scuba diver in the East River, in the water 2-3 weeks, tank 90% full, died of asphyxiation...turns out someone injected cyanide into his inter-stage hose from above/behind. They found the hole by immersing the hoses in a couple of inches of water, and bubbles came out, like you'd get when you're trying to find a bicycle puncture.

So, why was the tank still full 2-3 weeks later?

Yeah, they were using "oxygen" on a wreck that was 100ft deeper than the subway reef site!

    its not 100% accurate ...

whoop de doo ..... most movies/TV shows make errors, I'm always laughing at when they bring up an image on screen and miraculously make it sharp (despite the fact that it was a pixelated mess to begin with)

Yeah, but they must have about 20 divers employed in the making of a show like that: some of the actors and crew will be recreational divers, cameramen, safety divers, on-camera "doubles", script consultants etc etc etc.

Surely one of them would scream out "IT'S NOT FCUKING OXYGEN, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!" after the 20th fcuking rehearsal!

Never tried injecting cyanide into a hose but even a lp hose would be fairly tough so must have been a big needle. Is there a PADI speciality for that I wonder?

Why bother injecting the Cyanide? The guy was diving on oxygen!
