Golf in South Korea

Hello all, just wondering if there are are many of you out there who have played golf in South Korea.
I qualified as a teacher this year but remain a shepard without a flock thusfar owing to the current laughable state of secondary education in the country. Consequently me and herself are seriously considering moving away for the year and Korea seems as good a bet as any. On the other hand, its miles away and since I'm hopelessly addicted to the game (at least twice a week), I am reluctant to commit to a complete sabbatical unless absolutely necessary.
Any advice on courses, prices (green fees and club rental/purchase), eligibility to join clubs/play open competitions would be very much appreciated, cheers!

haven't a notion, but when you're rolling in it, check www.koryotours.com and head north for a few days. it's amazing!

Don't know about Korea although I'm heading over in 2 weeks for a few days... but China is bloody expensive. 16 euro for 9 holes of par 3 golf. 30 euro for a 9 hole par 30 golf course with the slowest greens ever. 160 euro for a championship course. Giving that a go tomorrow because I'm sick of the other ones. All courses force you to take a caddy. Championship course forces you to take a cart and a caddy.
