Someone asked me this when i was drunk the other night, and to be honest i drew a blank.

The 90s had Smells Like Teen Spirit
The 80s had This Charming Man
The 70s had God Save the Queen

what Indie/Alternative track will be remembered/revered in the same way. What 00s songs will people still be requesting in clubs in 20 years.
Not what's the best song. Not what's your favourite.

I'm struggling to think of one.
    Last Nite?
    7 Nation Army?
I bet you look good on the Dancefloor?

I do love Wake up but i dont think its even the best song on funeral. Rebellion (lies) FTW

I agree about Rebellion, but the topic isn't best song.
Wake up is definitely up there.

Funny but when I saw the title of the thread the first song I thought of was 'Wake Up' - so I guess that's the one.

Granted the topic isnt best song but i dont thing the song is that well known outside indie fans to be the iconic song of the decade for the general masses like the examples mentioned for other decades
