Opening Day for C.I.T's (Cork institute of technology) sports and society's Day
is Tuesday the 22nd of September.

New to the List of Martial Arts in C.I.T will be The CIT Mixed Martial Arts Club.

this Club will only be open to Members/Staff and students of C.I.T.

We Have a Brilliant Coach this year, who is Highly experienced and will be Teaching The MMA Lessons every Monday Night 7-8pm

All you need to do is to sign up on The sports and society's day.

    Classes are FREE. :D

we will also be doing Weigh in's

and setting up Fitness Programmes for all members with the C.I.T Gym, each member will have to complete Weekly Gym sessions and Come to all training sessions to Avail of Offers for the C.I.T MMA Squad which will be traveling in and around the country to MMA Competitions at appropriate levels of each fighter, A,B,C,D divisions respectively.

There will also be the Option of entering Free style Martial Arts competitions during the Academic year.

As I think with the limited time for warm up, Sparring, Theory, Ground work, techniques, warm down. will eat up most of the classes time.

So The Majority of Fitness will Be done in the C.I.T Gym. as different fighter will be of different levels of fitness and Ability.

We want the CIT MMA to be a successful martial arts Club, With High Membership to ensure Further years as a club in C.I.T and to avail of A Bigger budget next year as this year is on Trial by the Sports Office.

    For further information
    Email - Kerikosan@gmail.com
or call into C.I.T sports office.

    Thanks
    Jonathan.

    Firstly congrats,

But what does the following mean

"There will also be the Option of entering Free style Martial Arts competitions during the Academic year."

Is this mma league type events?

The Coach is Ken, He run's the MMA/Muay Thai camp in Blackpool in Cork.

"There will also be the Option of entering Free style Martial Arts competitions during the Academic year."

We will be Entering MMA Leagues, My friend who is also running the club has more experience/knowledge in these leagues and where, when I have more details of these competitions/leagues I will either post them here on on the C.I.T mma Bebo Page. :D

As far as I know we will be going to Galway for a MMA League this year they run up there.

Also members of the club will have the option to enter competitions Running through the year- these include Judo,Boxing,Karate,Kick boxing and Tae Kwon Do Competitions.

Simple apply to the appropriate Club coach n try for the CIT squads.

    ***PLEASE NOTE***

Most of these competitions require basic knowledge of the Martial art and The Rules of each competition- i.e. Point fighting/ illegal strikes/ Full contact/Light contact/Regulated contact.
