Very nice wine indeed. Resonable price usually retails for between 8-10.

Might have to pick up a few. A few years back, Tesco had them at 2 for €11, I stocked up several months worth!

Spanish red is under-rated, better than Italian IMO...

I shall be swinging by Dunnes later on ....

There is a serious amount of excellent Spanish wines.. red, white & rosas. Unfortunately, a lot of them aren't imported to Ireland.. somewhere along the line, Spanish wines got a bad name for some reason (cheap Spanish plonk) - perhaps from tourists going to the Canaries in the 80's getting hammered on red vinegar.

Sangre de Torres is a mass produced wine, and though it's perfectly drinkable, I've had way better wines in the years I spent in Espana.

It's like comparing Don Carlos olive oil to a locally produced olive oil from Spain. Ask any spaniard what they think of Don Carlos & they'll ask you "who the f*ck is he?"

You're right, it's not the best Spanish wine around - but it's still yummy, and you get a plastic bull to give to kids! Will be popping into Dunnes later... Thanks OP.
