    Hi all,
Did anyone book a holiday with Panorama last night to Madeira at the stated price of 98 euro??!! This was the advertised price on their website and booking was confirmed via e-mail. This morning however a call came to say there was a web error...however I explained I made the booking in good faith, gave credit card details and received a confirmation etc.

    Did anyone else book??

Is there anyone with a good legal brain to point us in the right direction, moreso??

    Cheers

You may want to point your query in the direction of the Consumer Issues forum... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=580

I'm leaving this thread here in case there are others in the same boat.

Yeah, this happened to me also. I booked the same deal and it was listed more than once on their website so I too thought it was just a great offer. They offered me no explanation as to why they were cancelling it and simply said "Terms and conditions" When I started to look in depth at these it strengthens my case. I e-mailed them but they have not even replied.
I also contacted the consumer council and consumers association and both said I have a valid contract. They also informed me that dozens of other people also compalined. Im giving Panorama till this afternoon to come good or will have to pursue it more formally. I have been on holiday many times and am disgusted that their attitude and C.S. is so poor. I even did a name change and they processed it with no problems.
Im pretty sure we have a binding contract and their own website defines when a contract has beed effected, i.e. when a booking confirmation has been received. Might drop a line to the Joe Duffy show to look into this as a similar case occurred with Aer Lingus last year and they honoured the bookings.

Anyone else in this situation and what advise have you received

please get on to joe duffy and let us know when. there is power in numbers and it needs to be highlighted .I am fed up with contracts protecting the big companies and when it comes to the ordinary joe soap nothing is done. I sooo want my holiday. I feel like christmas has been canceled

    Cheers.

    Did you book too?

Although this has NOTHING to do with my case, Panorama is owned by Thomas Cook. Remember them recently and the Grafton Street debacle??

I agree with dirtyaggie ,joe duffy is your man, this debarcle has to be sorted as the day of departure is 27-9-09 and in the interest of the people who booked lets hope panaroma can sort this out a.s.a.p. or will it be just another feather in their cap and ignore the situation . I as you might have guessed booked this holiday too and cannott express my disappointment at this current time.

PALE, EXHAUSTED ,CASE PACKED AND I NEED OF MY HOLIDAY!!!!!!
